Passport Photo (iOS) · Last updated: July 2, 2026

The short version: Passport Photo does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data or photos. Every photo you take or import is processed entirely on your device and never leaves it. There is no account, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no advertising.

1. What this app does

Passport Photo helps you create passport, visa, and similar identity photos from a selfie or an existing photo. All image processing — background removal, cropping, compliance checks, and print-layout generation — happens locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device frameworks (Vision, Core Image, ImageIO). No image, in whole or in part, is ever uploaded to us or to any third party.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, and have no way of accessing:

The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and makes no network requests of its own. The only network communication on the device comes from Apple's own App Store / StoreKit systems, described below.

3. Permissions the app requests

No other permissions (location, contacts, microphone, etc.) are requested.

4. In-app purchases

The app offers a single one-time purchase (a non-consumable "lifetime unlock") to remove the export watermark, processed entirely through Apple's StoreKit. Apple handles all payment information directly — we never receive or store your payment details. Purchase status is verified through Apple's systems on your device.

5. Data storage and retention

Since no data is transmitted to us, there is nothing on our end to store or retain. Photos you create stay in your device's Photos library or Files app, under your own control, exactly like any other photo you take. Deleting the app, or the photo, removes it the same way any other local file would be removed.

6. Third-party sharing

We do not share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any data to share. If you use the system Share Sheet to send an exported photo to another app (Mail, Files, a printing service, etc.), that transfer is initiated by you and governed by that destination app's own privacy policy — not this one.

7. Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, regardless of age — consistent with the rest of this policy.

8. Changes to this policy

If our data practices ever change, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect.

9. Contact
